Junior IT Security Analyst (Full-time or Part-time)

SP Systems is seeking a full-time and a part-time Junior IT Security Analyst to support the NASA Incident Response Center (NASIRC) at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.





The positions involve monitoring a variety of information resources and answering the NASA IT Incident Response Hotline. Daily activities include, but are not limited to: database entry, analyzing security incident data and writing brief reports for NASA and US Government communities.





The position provides an introduction to the complex NASA community, with opportunity for increased responsibilities as knowledge base expands.





Preferred skills include clear verbal and written communication, working knowledge of computers and software, and excellent attention to detail. An English or writing background is a plus. Must be self-motivated, confident and adaptable to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment. An interest in IT Security is highly desired. The ideal part-time candidate should be a Junior or Senior level student or recent graduate willing to work 3 - 5 evenings a week from 3 PM - 7 PM.
