Access Developer



*** Position REQUIRES at least an active DoD Interim Secret Clearance ****



Summary: Will work as an Access developer for a major defense corporation on a US Army contract



Responsibilities will include:

* Support existing Access databases

* Develop and enhance Access systems

* Requirement gathering and analysis

* Providing technical support to users



Work will be on site with the Army customer at the Hoffman building, 200 Stovall St. Alexandria, VA



Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science



Minimum Experience: 5 years



Required Skills and Experience:

* Minimum of 2 years Access 2000 or higher, application development, including visual design, report generation, data normalization, processing optimization, and maintenance with at least 1 year of VBA coding and debugging

* Candidate must be familiar with integrating Microsoft Office products with Access including Word for mail merges and Excel for importing and exporting data

* 1 year SQL Server or other SQL based DB; Oracle, Sybase; etc., development in combination with Access is very desirable

* 1 year Visual Basic

* 1 year Java would be a plus

* Excellent Analytic and troubleshooting skills

* Strong communication skills, oral and written as direct customer contact is necessary for success in this role
