Administrative Legislative Assistant

Fast-paced office is seeking a shared assistant for Washington representatives of two Fortune 300 corporations. Duties will include a variety of administrative tasks (such as typing, answering the phone, expense reports), technical assistance (phone and computer system maintenance), travel and event planning, scheduling, PAC disbursement requests, bill tracking, legislative and political research, and other duties as may be assigned. The position will also require some attendance at and reporting on briefings, coalition and trade association meetings, and fundraising events. This position requires a sharp mind and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.

Required qualifications include:

- Clear command of standard English and office etiquette

- Bachelor’s degree as well as internships and/or professional experience

- General understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes

- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

- Attention to detail and consistency

- Familiarity with energy policy helpful
