We are a dynamic, fast-paced and quickly growing private medical practice. We need someone to manage our front desk. As the first person patients see when they arrive, you will essentially be the face of the office. You will be responsible for greeting patients and visitors into the clinic in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner. You will need to have excellent people skills, and organizational skills to match. This is a professional but friendly environment, and you will serves as a liaison between patients and our medical staff. This is a full time position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Answers all incoming calls; assesses caller’s needs, and directs to appropriate personnel.
*Schedules new patients and return appointments according to physician schedule changes and notifies appropriate clinic personnel.
*Greets patients and visitors into the clinic in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
*Obtains all appropriate forms as required, and enter information into the computer system.
*Prepares and organizes new patient charts. Notifies medical staff of patient arrivals, placing charts in appointment order. Assists in preparing charts for next day’s appointments and prints schedule as needed.
*Confirms all doctor and therapist appointments for the next day (Saturday and Monday should be confirmed on Friday).
*Collects and issues receipts for all services rendered at time of visit.
Input all receipts into financial management system.
*Maintains lobby area in a neat and orderly manner.
*Keep supply closets clean, organized and stocked.
*Maintains cleanliness of front bathroom daily.
*Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation.
*Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office. Covers for other front office functions as requested.
*Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, other department employees, and physicians so that productivity and positive employee relations are maximized.
