Application Support Engineer

The Application Support Engineer is a key member of Cvent’s Technology team, which designs, develops and operates large-scale, Internet-based applications. Application Support Engineers help develop and document requirements for new and existing products, then validate that the software functions as designed. This position also plays an integral role in application usability as well as change control and release management, ensuring that Cvent’s systems are user-friendly and bug-free. This is an entry / early career position with significant opportunity for career growth.
Position Duties:
•Gather and document requirements for our growing portfolio of Internet-based applications.
•Provide input on product design and usability.
•Document defects and work with engineers to resolve issues.
•Provide product support to Cvent’s customer service team and clients.
•Design and document test plans for the applications.
Candidate Requirements:
•The successful candidate will have 0 to 4 years of relevant experience.
•BS in Computer Science or equivalent, excellent problem solving and analytical skills, outstanding oral and written communication skills, and an aptitude for learning new technologies.
•Solid understanding of the Relational Database and Software Development Life Cycle.
•Knowledge of the following is desirable: relevant software testing tools, HTML, DHTML, XML, ASP.NET, IIS, SMTP, SQL, C#, Java, and JavaScript.
•Ability to provide constructive criticism while maintaining positive relationship with other team members.
•Experience with automated testing tools and methodologies is preferred.
•Zealous attention to detail.
•This position is expected to work overtime and holidays on rotation to conduct release certifications.
